Smith Room




Grandma's Kingdom

The Smith Room is also known as Grandma's Kingdom. Named for Marion Smith Leman a Kings Park Teacher and generational relative of the Smith family, founders of Smithtown, NY.  This room contains artifacts that embody vintage household history and is home to many antique kitchen appliances, turn of the century viewfinders, refrigerators, as well as a Levittown Refrigerator, cast iron ovens and stoves, baby cribs and gowns, sewing machines,  washboards and basins, an ice box, twentieth century roller washing machines. In addition, the Smith Room holds a 1915 player piano, two organs pianos, and an electric organ each in working.
